October Whiskey of the Month: Clontarf 1014
Travel with us to the birthplace of Bram Stoker during the spookiest month of the year - Clontarf, Ireland.
Our WOTM is the Clontarf 1014 - a triple distilled Irish whiskey produced by the Irish Distillers subsidiary of Pernod Ricard in County Cork, Ireland.
Originally called "Clontarf," the whiskey takes its name from the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 in which Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, defeated an army of Vikings.
Clontarf 1014 is 40% abv and is $4 a pour all month!
Made with the finest grains and pure Irish spring water. It is aged in bourbon casks. Light toffee and vanilla fills the nose. Finishes round and slightly spicy.
Distillery Notes: Clontarf is a bold and smooth Irish whiskey, produced from a blend of pot-stilled single malt whiskey and column-stilled grain whiskey.
